Vote for Your Favorite Tree
 
Port Clinton, OH: Local businesses and organizations are competing to win the 2017 Gift of Lights for the best-decorated tree.  Christmas Trees located at Adams Street Park in downtown historic Port Clinton.  The proceeds from the 2017 Gift of Lights goes to Mary’s Coats for Kids as selected by the 2016 winner (The PC Women’s  Club).  The donations will determine this year’s winner! One vote is a $1 donation!
 
The following businesses decorated a tree: Ala Carte Café, Boy Scouts of America Troop #360, Civilian Marksmanship Program, City of Port Clinton, Compassionate Friends, Croghan Colonial Bank, Firelands Physician Group, Oliver H. Perry Lodge 341, Port Clinton Cheerleaders,  Port Clinton Women’s Club, Schill Grounds Management, Waypoint Marine, Wreaths Across America and Wylie Walleye Drop.
 
The deadline to vote is Friday, December 15 at 12:00pm.  Ballot boxes are available at the Main Street PC/Chamber office, Back In Thyme, City Hall, Coffee Express, Lilly & Gerts, Perfect Color Hair and Tan, Slater’s Madison Street Pub and the Wide World Shoppe.

Community Christmas Lighted Parade a Big Hit
 
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Annual Community Christmas on Saturday, December 2nd.  Many business hosted activities and we had 14 businesses competing for best tasting chili in our 3rd Annual Chili Tasting Contest. The crowd’s favorite was a Jamaican Jerk Chili prepared by The Junk followed by Sew Much More and Back In Thyme. 
 
Children and families were able to visit with Santa and Mrs Claus while enjoying cookies and cocoa at Our Guest Inn then lined the streets in downtown Port Clinton for the  annual Lighted Parade.  Floats lit up the night sky as they competed for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  The evening concluded with the City’s Tree Lighting Ceremony at Adams Street Park.  
 
1st Place- Port Clinton Fire Department
2nd Place – Immaculate Conception School
3rd Place – Erie Shores K9 Academy
 
The 4th Annual Window Decorating contest has everyone looking their best for the Holiday Season… coming in first for the best decorated window was Dublin Commercial; second, Back In Thyme; third, Morgan Realty Group.  Prizes for this were generously donated by Lilly & Gerts, Northern Exposure Gallery and Slater’s Madison Street Pub.

Ribbon Cutting Planned to Celebrate the Grand Opening of Russell Real Estate Services
 
Port Clinton Oh.: The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Port Clinton are pleased to announce a Ribbon Cutting ceremony to celebrate the Grand Opening of Russell Real Estate Services located at 2870 E. Harbor Road, Suite C in Port Clinton.  The Open House and Ribbon Cutting  will take place on Monday, December 11th with the Ribbon Cutting at 2pm and the Open House from 2pm-5pm.
