1. Tell us about your company culture.
We are celebrating our 100th anniversary this year. We are America’s first presidential library and the forerunner for the federal presidential library system. Our site includes 19th U.S. President Rutherford B. Hayes’ 31-room Victorian mansion, his tomb, the presidential library, the newly renovated museum and 1 mile of paved walking trails through the wooded grounds, known as Spiegel Grove. We are one of two presidential sites in the country to have all of these amenities. We also have regular community events that appeal to a wide range of audiences. Programs include Second Saturdays R 4 Kids, History Roundtable, our annual Independence Day Concert and more.

2. Tell us about organizations/charities that you are passionate about.
We are a non-profit organization and raise much of our funding privately. We are passionate about sharing historical information about President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes, presidential history in general, local history, genealogy and more. We support other presidential libraries, non-profit organizations and historical organizations sometimes partner with them on various projects and events.

3. What 3 business tips can you share with others?
Making sure your guests have a great experience at your location is key. Adapt to and learn changing means of communication and be open to new ways of doing things. Develop partnerships with other businesses and organizations. Sometimes you can do more with others than you can on your own.
