chamber questions

  1.  How many years has ICS been in business? Immaculate Conception School has been blessed to be a part of the Port Clinton Community for 92 years.  During the 2014-2105 school year, Immaculate Conception School celebrated 90 years of “Giving Wisdom to Little Ones” which is the Psalms verse written in the sandstone about the front door of our building.  Our mission of teaching the “whole” child in mind, body, and spirit is as true and as much of a priority today as it was in 1924.
  2. What’s an interesting fact about your business most people don’t know? You don’t need to be Catholic to attend ICS.  Immaculate Conception School is open to children and their families of ALL faiths.  We are all children of God. Tuition assistance is readily available at ICS. ICS offers small class sizes with an average student/teacher ratio of 12:1. Physical Education, music, art, and Spanish are taught weekly at ICS.At ICS technology is an essential part of daily learning.  Every child at ICS has their own Chromebook.Immaculate Conception Preschool is open to children that are 3 years old and 4 years old. The 4 year old program is an all-day program that includes PE, music, art, and Spanish.Immaculate Conception School offers a Leap-time program which provides after school day care to working families.
  3. Do you have any advice for new business owners? We are not really sure that Immaculate Conception School has business tips to offer, but we do have some important guidelines that serve as the foundation of an ICS education.
  • Every Child is a Child of God to be treasured and taught to see the value within themselves and others.
  • Every Child learns differently.  At ICS we realize this and we have adopted a Continuous Progress concept to learning and teaching.  This way of learning allows the child to set the pace.  No child is left behind at ICS and every child’s potential is boundless.
  • An ICS education educates the whole child academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.   With the combined efforts of church, school, and home, graduates of ICS have all the necessities to be leaders throughout life.
